Nursery - Mrs Dickson and Mrs Szczygiel

Nursery - Mrs Dickson and Mrs Szczygiel

Welcome to the Nursery class page! Firstly, We would like to welcome the children and families who are returning after the summer break, and secondly, to the new children and families who are joining us. In Nursery this year we have the following members of staff working with us: Mrs Dickson – Class Teacher (Monday-Wednesday) Mrs Szczygiel – Class Teacher (Thursday-Friday) Mrs Maloney – Teaching Assisstant Mrs Herbert – PPA Teacher

We have a very exciting half term ahead of us and are really enjoying getting to know the children attending nursery full time, along with all their families. We are very fortunate to have a brand new classroom, full of wonderful new furniture and stimulating new resources and toys, for our children to explore. As with any building work there are a few items still to come, pegs and display boards to mention a few.

In Nursery there are adult led activities for the children to join in with and lots of opportunities for children to lead their own learning.

We have areas for sand play, workshop (art and craft),  play dough, writing and drawing, reading, jigsaws, role play, number, small world play, construction, painting and printing.

Everyday come rain or sunshine we use our outside area to continue our learning.

We encourage children to be independent, to look after themselves, their friends and our nursery environment.

This half term we will be exploring nursery rhymes and marvellous me; thinking about all the things that make us the same, different and special!

Please rememeber Wednesday is PE day and we enjoy using the large space in the hall. Children should wear socks and shoes they can take off and put on, on their own (and no tights on this day!) Thank you for your support.
